2024-2025 Year
Fall Semester: August 26 through December 18
Spring Semester: January 6 through May 28
New students can start any time. Lessons are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Lesson day and time are arranged on an individual basis and lessons are normally once per week. Lessons are taught in my piano studio in Hattiesburg
Goals
Lessons are designed to fit the student's age, experience, goals, and individual learning style. Developing full musical potential includes instruction in a variety of level-specific repertoire, technical skills, music theory, and tips for good practice habits.
Performance Opportunities
There will be opportunities (optional) for students to perform in music recitals and piano festivals (such as Hattiesburg Music Teachers League, Mississippi Music Teachers Association, and the National Federation of Music Clubs). These are available to all interested students. There are additional fees for some of these events.
Instrument and Music
The student should have an instrument that is in tune and in the best possible condition. It should be a full-size keyboard with weighted keys and a working pedal for best success. Also important are a bench that is appropriate in height, a metronome, and adequate lighting, all in a location with minimal interruption. Daily practice is necessary for progress.
